‘Jurassic Park 4’ to arrive June 13, 2014

As we’re all awaiting patiently for the 3D release of the original Jurassic Park film (April 5, 2013), we now finally have confirmation that Spielberg has already set a release date for Jurassic Park 4 to arrive in theaters in 2014.

Universal Pictures and Steven Spielberg are ready to re-open its famous park setting a June 13, 2014 release date for “Jurassic Park 4” with plans to shoot the film in 3D.

As of right now Steven Spielberg is only on as a producer and plot details are being kept under wraps as Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver pen the script.

Spielberg recently announced his plans to delay production on the sci-fi epic “Robopocalypse” feeling that the film needed to be re-thought out. Spielberg has not committed to another film but given that “Jurassic Park 4” is now on the fast track, its not out of the question that he would step back into the directors chair.

Spielberg only served as an exec producer on “Jurassic Park 3” with Joe Johnston filling in as director. It was believed the third film would mark the end of the franchise but Spielberg sparked interest at the 2011 Comic Con while tupthumping “The Adventures of Tintin” saying that a fourth “Jurassic Park” film was in the works.

The “Jurassic Park” trilogy has grossed more than $1.9 billion dollars worldwide with “Jurassic Park 3” grossing $363 million worldwide. Universal is already planning to re-release “Jurassic Park” in 3D on April 5, 2013.  via variety.com – [email protected]
